MINISTER BEN CHAVIS IS DOWN WITH THE DIPSET

Minister Benjamin Chavis is the former head of the NAACP and current president of the Hip Hop Summit Action Network. As president of such a prestigious organization, one would think that Chavis has maintained a neutral stance when it comes to rappers and their crews but that isn’t the case as Chavis has been a long time supporter of the Harlem based Diplomats who are also known as the Dipset.

Chavis, who has appeared in the crews videos in the past said,

“Oh it’s Dipset, Dipset, Dipset. The Dipset is going to be here tonight. Jim is gonna be here, Juelz Santana. I’ve done some intros to some of their albums. The reason why I love the Dipset is cause they’re street and I think part of keeping hip-hop real, is keeping a connection to the street.”

The Diplomats include Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Hell Rell, JR Writer, and Jha Jha.
