BOB MARLEY FAMILY SUED

Former Wailer’s bass guitarist, Aston “Family Man” Barrett has filed suit against the family of Bob Marley and Island-Universal Records Ltd. claming $105 million in unpaid royalties.

Barett claims he is owed the money from songs written by him and Marley, along with royalties from a 1974 contract with Island-Universal Records saying Marley promised equal royalty payments band members from records Babylon by Bus, Natty Dread, and Rastaman Vibration.

The Marley family claims that Barrett, father of over 52 children, accepted several hundred dollars in exchange for royalty rights in a 1994 settlement.
